Sergi Cuesta

Co-Founder // Director

My name is Sergio Cuesta, and I was born in Almuñécar, Granada. Football has been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember. My journey began at the age of 8 when I discovered the sport that would shape my life. Until I was 14, I played in my hometown, but my development caught the attention of Costa Tropical, a prominent club in Motril, where I spent two pivotal years that helped me grow as a player.

At 17, I received a remarkable opportunity: Granada C.F. expressed interest in signing me for their top-tier youth team competing in the División de Honor. However, after much consideration, I chose to stay in my hometown with my family, prioritizing my roots and close connections.

At 18, another significant moment came my way. The professional futsal team in my city, competing in the second national division, offered me a contract. I didn’t hesitate and enjoyed two incredible seasons, playing in packed arenas with over 3,000 fans.

In the following years, my career took a more amateur path, but I never stopped pursuing my dreams. Finally, at 35, a new opportunity arose: competing in Spain's 3RFEF league. Those three years have been the most special of my football career, proving that with hard work and dedication, any goal is achievable.

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to build strong friendships and connections with coaches, clubs, and professionals within the football industry both here in Spain and abroad. These relationships have allowed me to open doors for young international talents, helping them secure trials with notable teams.

This personal journey forms the foundation of my commitment to young footballers. I know what it means to fight for your dreams, and I’m dedicated to sharing that passion with everyone who becomes part of Spanish Soccer Trials.
