It´s fair to say that April has been non-stop.
In just the first two weeks of the month, we have had multiple players out on trial across Southern Spain. Different clubs, different levels, different stories. But the same thing connecting them all, they made the decision, put the work in, and gave themselves a real shot at something.
Here is what has been happening on the ground.
CF Benidorm, Costa Blanca
Up on the Costa Blanca, we have had two players on trial at CF Benidorm, and this one means a lot to us. Benidorm is a newly announced SST partner club and a relationship we are genuinely excited about. With the backing of World Cup winner David Villa, CF Benidorm are a club on an upward trajectory with the infrastructure and ambition to match. These trials mark the beginning of what we expect to grow into a strong long-term partnership.

Rian Varghese CF Benidorm, Juvenil A
Indian born player, Rian Varghese, who is currently playing in the UK travelled to Spain in the early part of the month to begin his trial with the Juvenil A setup, playing in the third highest level of Spanish academy football. A competitive league structure and a chance to test himself in side a team that has seen a number of it´s players called up to the first team this season. Strong level, great facilities, and a well-structured youth system. All qualities that we look for when placing our players on trial with clubs here in Spain.

Ryan Belboda CF Benidorm, First Team
Ryan Belboda, meanwhile, returns to Spain after his standout performances in our New Years showcase having been subsequently been invitied on trial with La Liga II sides´ C team back in January. Ryan returned full of motivation to go one step further but this time with a new club, a new city and a new challenge. CF Benidorm´s first team. Benidorm are in the middle of a tight title race, pushing for promotion into Tercera RFEF, the fifth division of Spanish football and the first national level here in Spain. A fantastic opportunity to impress a club who is only heading in one direction.
Danique Francis, Puerto Malagueño

While Benidorm represents an exciting new chapter for SST, our home here on the South Coast of Spain is Málaga. This is where our roots are, where the majority of our players are based, where our staff live and work, and where our relationships with clubs run deepest.
Danique Francis another of our New Years Showcase standouts has been on trial with CD Puerto Malagueño Juvenil A, competing in Liga Nacional, the second highest category of youth football in Spain. This is a serious level, sitting just below División de Honor, the elite tier of Spanish youth football, and Danique has been more than holding his own. At just 17 years old, he is exactly the kind of profile Spanish clubs at this level are looking for. A direct, pacy winger with the technical quality to match.
Almuñécar CF, Costa Tropical
Right here on our front door, Jake Adair has been on trial with Almuñécar CF, a club that have totally run away with their league and secured promotion to Primera Andaluza. The ambition doesn't stop there. The long-term vision is Tercera RFEF, and next season they have their sights set on back to back promotion. Jake is putting his work in at a club that is going places, and that is exactly the kind of environment you want to forcing you way into.

What This Month Represents: 4 players, Three Different clubs.
This is Spanish Soccer Trials. No empty promises, just real players getting real opportunities at real clubs in Spain. Every single one of these trials came through the work done behind the scenes, the relationships built with clubs over years, the preparation put into each player, and the honesty given from day one about what it actually takes.
As we come to the end of April, we turn our attention on the months ahead. A new season, new objectives and plenty more opportunities heading our way.
Interested in following the same path? The Summer Showcase 2026 is our next opportunity for players who are serious about a Spanish pathway. Places are screened individually and allocated by age group. If you want to understand whether this is the right fit, the first step is simply finding out more.
