SST Announces Jacob Thompson As New Player Liaison

Spanish Soccer Trials is delighted to announce the appointment of Jacob Thompson as our new Lead Player Liaison with immediate effect. Originally from Brighton, England Thompson enjoyed some of the most successful years of his playing career in Andalucía having made the transition into the Spanish futbol system at a young age.

Jacob Thompson's path into football hasn't been straightforward; and that's exactly what makes him a good fit for Spanish Soccer Trials. Born in Manchester, raised in Brighton, he spent his formative years playing in Spain before returning to England to build a career that goes well beyond the pitch. He joins SST with a genuine understanding of what young players go through, because not so long ago he was one of them.

Jacob commented on his new position by saying "What excites me most is finding undiscovered, talented players that have´nt had the platform available to them and giving them the genuine opportunity that I wish I'd had at their age." For Jacob, that's not a line, it's something he means. He's been through the process of chasing a football career across borders, and he knows better than most where the gaps in support can be.

"I think what we are building here collectively at SST is something that has massive potential and will have a genuinely positive impact on the lives of male and female players from all around the world. That´s what brought me back to Spain." Jacob will no doubt have a profound effect on the direction of the business moving forward and we are delighted to have him aboard.
